"The Internet is the most powerful weapon for justice ever put in human hands"

Gordon Brown addressing the General Assembly of Church of Scotland May 2008)

Yes. We agree, Prime Minister. Let's take your good advice

Have you had enough of Roundheads telling you what to do and making your life a misery?

Do you want to do something about it?

Then Join Us now! Support the Cavalier Movement by signing up to be a Cavalier. (Only £7.50 a year). We need your membership to continue our progress and fight the Roundheads.

You do not need to join us to use the forum or most other facilities but we hope you will. You do not need to log on to the Forum unless you wish to contribute an entry. You can read the Forum without logging on.

On this site you can shine the spotlight on Roundheads who have made your life miserable personally: Officious bureaucrats, Jobsworth officials, heath and safety zealots, Gestapo like car clampers and all those other Roundheads persecuting you. Get the support of other Cavaliers to publicise these people and organisations. Shame them into reasonable behaviour.

You can do the same for national figures who are making life a misery for us all: Politicians who lecture us and overtax us, global warming fanatics, Chief Constables trying to be social workers, Councils who persecute us over the wrong sort of rubbish, motorist hating law makers, politically correct nonentities hectoring us and so on. You can nominate a "Roundhead of the Month" on this site who, if chosen, will receive the monthly award of a lemon.

You can organise free petitions and polls too, using this site.

If you are a Cavalier you believe in freedom, common sense and the pursuit of happiness.

If you are a Roundhead you believe in control, rules, bureaucracy and generally look glum.

So, which are you?

If you are a Cavalier, have a look through some of the links on the left to find out how you can use this site to get back at the Roundheads!

But don’t forget, we need you as a member to survive and for us to continue to harass those pesky Roundheads. The cost of 3 pints during the year ( or a particularly exotic cocktail with an umbrella in it) will pay for your membership!

 You couldn't make it up!

Laughing horseThe police force won’t use force when it matters. No wonder they call themselves “The Police Service” now.

We run them in! We run them in! We are the bold gendarmes!

So wrote Gilbert and Sullivan some time ago, mocking those coppers going for the easy touch and avoiding the hard cases.

Things don’t change much. They’ll only run you in if it makes life easy for them. Real criminals are too much of a challenge. Compare these two cases:

Case 1.

A horse trailer was seen by witnesses being nicked by “Travellers” in Reigate. It belonged to Miss Denise Chapman. The trailer was trailed by friends, through Surrey, into Kent and on into Essex, where it was driven onto a “Travellers” site in Basildon. Surrey police were called and updated on the trailer’s progress by Miss Chapman so they could intervene and arrest the thieves (some hope!). Surrey police notified other forces as the trailer entered their areas. Nobody actually did anything to apprehend the villains on the police side though. The police did not turn up. None of them. From any force during that journey. They instead suggested that this lady should enter the “Traveller’s” site alone, locate the trailer, contact them and they would then meet her. By now it was dark and, understandably, the lady did not relish entering the site on her own. The police knew exactly where the trailer was at all times and they did nothing to help this lady. Why not?

Case 2.

Mark Frearson, a company director smacked his seven year old son once when he ran off into a park on his own, having been told not to do so, as he was visiting a supermarket with his father. He was reported by a “do-gooder”, arrested by four (!) police officers in his home and locked in police cells overnight before being released without charge. Why?

The police are being turned into a laughing stock by political correctness. They have already lost huge amounts of goodwill. They are in danger of loosing complete public confidence unless they get their act together and soon.

Whistle Blower's Refuge.....

Whistle BlowerDumbing Down Our Education System

We reproduce below a thoughtful and informative piece contributed by a professional teacher, which casts a cold, clear light upon our schools and the deterioration of standards therein as well as the pressure on teachers.

No wonder we cannot produce skilled youngsters if so little is expected of them and so much of teachers......

How many students does it take to change a lightbulb?

How many A level students does it take to change a lightbulb?  Well, they can all do it.  Even those £400 ones in the projector that links the computer to the smart board in my classroom.  They’re very tech-savvy, A level students.  But how many A level students does it take to pass an A level?  Well, that all depends when the paper was written.  Nowadays more than 25 % of them get an A grade and nearly 100% of them pass.  But how would they fare if they were presented with the A level papers I sat in 1976?  (I still have the papers, so it’s easy to make a comparison.)  ..........
